In-Home Lactation Consultation As an IBCLC in private practice, I provide home visits for lactation support for breastfeeding / chestfeeding families. My care is client - centered, aimed at identifying my client's goals while providing up to date evidence based information and recommendation on infant feeding and nutrition during the course of lactation.
Your initial in home consultation and assessment of mother and baby includes:
3-4 hour in home visit so that you and your baby are not rushed
Identifying root cause of lactation difficulty
Infant's oral anatomy assessment (including assessing for lip and tongue ties)
Feeding position support to help you achieve a deep latch
Written personalized Care Plan for you and your baby
All appointments include weight checks for baby (including before and after feed weight)
Physician report will be faxed to pediatrician and/or your OBGYN
1 week of phone/email support after appointment to help answer any questions that may come up
Superbill receipt which you can submit to your insurance company to seek reimbursement

Did you know that under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) you can request insurance reimbursement for my services? I will provide you with the "superbill" documentation, which you can submit to your insurance company. Please check with individual plan for coverage, I most often use the following diagnostic codes: Z39.1 and O92.70, and the following CPT codes: s9443, 99403, 99404 and 99342. Regardless of insurance coverage, all payments are due at the time of visit.
